Safety conscious, Grant County, scheduled a safety training with Oklahoma One-Call (Call Okie Before You Dig) on May 13, 2014.  During these trainings participants learn about the law concerning calling 811, and the 48 business hour notification, before doing any excavation, they also learn about safe digging practices as well as the importance of damage prevention in our state.
Call Okie conducts these safety trainings free of charge to anyone who is interested in training for their organization.  Each attendee at the training is entered into a drawing for $1000 for their organization which is given out at the end of the training year.
Jeri Donaldson attended the Oklahoma One-Call (Call Okie) safety training on May 13, 2014 and registered for this drawing.  On October 13th Jeri’s name was drawn as the $1000 winner.
Grant County Dist. #2 was presented a check for $1000 on November 12th.  Per instruction of Oklahoma One-Call this money is to be used for the benefit of the employees according to their requests.
Congrats to Jeri and Grant County for being safety conscious in 2014.  See there, safety does pay!!!
