Grant County Family Fun Day & Health Fair
Medford, OK – April 3, 2016 – The Grant County Community Action Team members helped plan the Grant County Family Fun Day event. There were 24 vendor booths and over 300 people in attendance.
Shelli Mitchell, event chair/program coordinator with TSET Healthy Living Program sponsored a5 K run/walk. There were 74 participants with frontrunners recognized in the Youth Division with winners placing 1st – Jake Ronck, 2nd – Joe Janzen, 3rd – Isaac Stouffer and the Adult Division with winners placing 1st – Billy Thomas, 2nd Nicole Smith, 3rd – Amanda Zollinger.
Several county departments from Grant County participated in support of National County Government Month (NCGM) to showcase how the county is building a safe and secure community.
Departments contributing included the Sheriff’s Department, Emergency Management, Health Department, OSU Extension, and 4-H Clubs along with numerous county employees from other departments.
The KNID radio station gave live updates. Highlights of the day included the Life EVac Helicopter, fire and ambulance services from Pond Creek and Medford as well as the Lions Club mobile health unit from Integris.

This unique bike generated enough energy to power a blender - so that the person pedaling effectively can make their own healthy smoothie. It was visual, interactive, healthy and fun!
